Texas Folklife Festival

June 8th kicked off the 41st annual Texas Folklife Festival, where PRSSA members worked as the Social Media Team. The tweets poured in as the weekend progressed, and we tried delicious new foods while watching performances.

From Irish dancers and bagpipe players to raspas and Cajun gumbo, the Festival was full of diversity. PRSSA attendees took pictures and tweeted about their experiences. From the posts] you could see that everyone was stunned by the amount of talent in the bands and dance groups,as well as how amazing the food was. Everyone shared a love for the diversity of Texas, as well as a lot of pride in their own heritage.

PRSSA members who worked at the festival gained valuable social media and publicity experience. I believe I can speak for everyone when I say it was not only educational, but also a fun and rewarding event to attend. Hopefully PRSSA can be there for the 42nd annual Texas Folklife Festival and share another wonderful experience!
